We are hiring in Norwich22 December 2017
Join our committed, professional and highly-motivated pest management team as a pest control technician.
Norwich and surrounding towns and villages.
We are looking for a person who desires a career in an exceptionally secure industry to help manage nature.
Pest control has probably one of the most varied days you can encounter and needs a person who desires daily challenges and changes.
We provide pest management to predominantly commercial premises who require a skilled person with a good eye to manage and advise on all types of pest-related matters. We also support a number of housing associations managing many residential properties. We deal with rodents, insects, birds and woodworm in addition to some specialist hygiene services.
You will need to be confident in interaction with a positive approach at all times helping to problem solve and feel your advice and input is of significant value to the protection of the client’s premises.
We will provide a company vehicle, smart uniform, all assisted documentation, communications and application equipment at the business’ cost.
In return, we would help train, provide in-house and external courses as and when necessary and look for somebody with the willingness to continually learn and develop your own set of skills.
Training is provided in house if not already trained and once we feel you are ready we would place you on all the legally required courses to gain your certificates and competency with the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) at the right opportunity.
If you are already qualified you will still be trained and tested to Abate’s ISO standards, to ensure you meet our quality assurance objectives. You will also be registered to gain regular CPD points and experience at all levels.
This is a permanent job role with our standard hours of work which are a 40 hour working week from 8am to 5pm with an hour of breaks. However due to the demands of this industry you would need to be flexible with the working hours to meet the demands expected from clients in this industry.
You will be supported from your direct line manager and admin staff along with your regional team of other service technicians in the same job role.
There is always potential to grow with the company once we can see the qualities and desire our business needs.
Along with your basic salary, there are lots of opportunities to earn additional overtime plus a commission scheme.
You will be working with a team of 11 and be given a service round once we can see your skill sets are ready to service our clients.
Starting salary is above the national living wage and rises depending on your training, skill sets and any previous pest control experience.
We do require you to hold a full driving licence and you will be DBS checked.
If you have good communication skills, both verbal and written, friendly and have a can-do attitude then please apply with your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
